Jenna Monroe

Jenna is a Diné (Navajo) Producer and Choreographic Director in the SF Bay Area. Over the last 20 years, her work in Production and Dance has garnered her many grants and awards including, The Silicon Valley Community Foundation award, the Certificate of Honor from the Board of Supervisors of San Francisco (2017 and 2018), and in 2017, her choreographic piece, K’aalógii, received the Zellerbach Family Foundation award.

Her work in television for the docuseries, First Alaskans, and the Emmy-award winning, Life Below Zero, can be seen on National Geographic and Disney+.

 

Ms. Monroe comes from a long line of Diné artisans and storytellers and hopes to continue their legacy through her work and artistic contributions. Her purpose is to uplift and amplify Indigenous voices.
